We have arrived at the day of the White Night ! and it has been 39 days since we last updated you at half term. How time flies !
Just to keep you updated that HQ has been busy and we have had 21 grant requests in that time.
Here are a few examples of who we have been able to support because of your generosity and ongoing support.
· Severely autistic child who due to his condition has damaged lots of bedroom furniture – we have contributed towards a safe set of specialist furniture to keep him safe. We have also helped with a waterproof mattress for another child and sensory toys for children with specialist needs
· We have also helped a couple of young children with toughened buggies as due to their children’s health condition, getting them to school is not easy for the parents
· Urgent counselling support for a 10, 14 and 15 year olds who are finding life really tough at the moment
· Initial counselling support for someone who is having challenges due to a past abusive relationship and also someone who has lost many family members in only a few months
· Our pre loved Prom Dress sale enabled lots of Girls to attend their prom at a fraction of the cost of a normal prom dress. We also helped a boy who has had a very tough time and never dreamt he would be able to go to a prom with a suit, prom ticket and haircut to make him look the part !
· Support to help towards a cooker for a family that are setting up home after fleeing domestic abuse
· A weekend break for a lady who has a young family who has been advised she has terminal cancer to help her create some memories with her family and also give her some respite once she can leave hospital
